Getting your dog to sit can be a challenge. However the first thing that you have to do to get your dog to start listening to you is to get him to realize that you are the boss. That may include some obedience training, talking to your vet, or talking to a behaviorlist.
All of those will help you get your dog to sit and listen to you! Imagine though if you get him to start sitting for you then you can work on other behaviors that you will want him to perform. Check out the programs that I have listed below to help you learn how to get your dog to listen to you. I have reviewed the programs and rank my top two here. If you do not like these programs check out the programs that I recommend for other options. If you want to do training with a trainer in person then contact your vet to determine who would be the best trainer you can go to. They sometimes know of local trainers that are cheaper than the national academies.
